Super Eagles midfielder sits fifth on EPL creativity chart.

Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi has been named the fifth most creative player in the Premier League this season, according to WhoScored, after producing 23 chances created for Fulham the highest at the club.

He ranks behind Bruno Fernandes (40), Dominik Szoboszlai (28), Declan Rice (27) and Elliot Anderson (25).

Iwobi has 2 goals and 2 assists in 15 matches this season and remains a key figure for Fulham since his €25.7m move from Everton. Last season, he delivered his best EPL return with 9 goals and 6 assists, becoming one of Marco Silva’s most reliable players.

Ahead of AFCON 2025, Iwobi is expected in Eric Chelle’s final squad. The 29-year-old has 86 caps, with 10 goals for Nigeria. Fulham trio Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze must be released by December 15 per FIFA rules.

Nigeria open their AFCON campaign on December 23 vs Tanzania, before facing Tunisia and Uganda as they chase a fourth continental title.
