Super Eagles winger joins Nigeria camp after Cagliari charity match.

Ademola Lookman

Ademola Lookman will play his final game for Atalanta this year on Saturday before travelling to join the Super Eagles’ AFCON camp, according to sportblits.com.

The 27-year-old winger is set to feature in Atalanta’s annual Christmas charity match against Cagliari at the New Balance Arena, after which he will depart on Sunday to link up with Nigeria ahead of their December 16 friendly vs Egypt.

Lookman has rediscovered top form following a slow start to the season, recently starring in Atalanta’s 2-1 Champions League win over Chelsea.

Atalanta manager Raffaele Palladino expressed disappointment at losing Lookman and defender Odilon Kossounou for AFCON, calling the Nigerian forward “strong, decisive and essential to the team.”

He also praised Lookman’s recent displays, emphasising both his attacking impact and defensive work rate.

Lookman’s sharp form arrives at a perfect time for the Super Eagles, who head to Morocco for AFCON 2025 in Group C, alongside Tanzania, Uganda and Tunisia.
