Late own goal saves Gunners after Nigerian striker’s dramatic equaliser.

Arsenal

Arsenal moved five points clear of Manchester City after a tense 2-1 win over bottom-placed Wolves at the Emirates, with two Wolves own goals proving decisive.

The Gunners struggled early and failed to register a shot on target in the first half. Sustained pressure finally paid off in the 70th minute when a Bukayo Saka corner went in off goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

Tolu Arokodare

Wolves stunned the home crowd late on as Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare headed in a 90th-minute equaliser, raising fears of dropped points. However, Arsenal struck back almost immediately, with Yerson Mosquera’s own goal sealing the win after a Saka cross.

The victory keeps Arsenal firmly in the title race, while winless Wolves remain rooted to the bottom of the table with nine straight league defeats.
