Interim Management Committee takes decisive action after underwhelming start.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi, has indefinitely suspended Technical Adviser Bala Mohammed following poor results in the ongoing Nigeria Nationwide League season.

According to a statement from the club’s Director of Media and Communications, Emmanuel Uja, the decision came after an emergency management meeting on Monday. Lobi Stars had played six games under Mohammed, earning only seven points out of 18, placing them sixth out of eight clubs.

The statement directed Mohammed to hand over responsibilities immediately to the club’s Chief Coach, John Onuh (Abacha). Bala Mohammed, who was appointed in August 2025 with the aim of guiding the team back to the NPFL after relegation, now faces an uncertain future with the club.

The IMC emphasized that the move reflects a commitment to performance improvement and competitiveness as Lobi Stars seek to strengthen their push for promotion this season.
