Port Harcourt Club Extends Unbeaten Run to Nine Matches.

Rivers United have solidified their position at the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a 1-0 victory over Wikki Tourists at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Monday.

The winning goal came in the 19th minute, scored by Taofeek Otaniyi, helping the Port Harcourt side extend their unbeaten run to nine matches. With this result, Rivers United lead the NPFL standings with 33 points from 16 games under the guidance of coach Finidi George. Their last defeat was against Bayelsa United on October 12.

Elsewhere in the NPFL, Ikorodu City and Katsina United played out a goalless draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan. The result allowed Ikorodu City to maintain third position on the league table, while Katsina United climbed to 11th place with 22 points from 17 matches.

Rivers United now look to build on their momentum as they continue their pursuit of the NPFL title, showcasing consistency and resilience at the top of the league.
