The squad spent five days in Cairo tuning up for the tournament and played a pre‑AFCON friendly against Egypt, where they lost 2‑1.

The three‑time African champions are determined to bounce back and chase continental glory in Morocco. Nigeria are drawn in Group C with Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda, and will kick off their campaign against Tanzania next Tuesday at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
