Former Super Eagles head coach and Nigerian football legend Sunday Oliseh has lauded Ademola Lookman and captain Wilfred Ndidi for their standout performances in Nigeria’s pulsating 3-2 win over Tunisia at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The victory on December 27, 2025, ensured the three-time champions advanced to the Round of 16 with a game to spare, topping Group C after goals from Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, and Ademola Lookman.

Oliseh, reacting via his X account, highlighted Lookman’s explosive form and Ndidi’s determination: “Lookman on fire. Second assist and I personally love Ndidi’s attacking the ball to head Naija 2–0 up.”

The former midfielder also expressed admiration for Victor Osimhen‘s overall contribution, as the Galatasaray striker opened the scoring with a header before the Super Eagles survived a late Tunisia comeback.

Lookman, named Man of the Match, delivered a goal and two assists, while Ndidi scored his maiden international goal with a powerful header, recreating an iconic celebration in the process.

Nigeria now prepare for their final group fixture against Uganda, aiming to maintain momentum in their quest for a fourth AFCON title.

Oliseh’s endorsement underscores the growing influence of Lookman, the reigning CAF African Footballer of the Year and Ndidi’s versatile midfield mastery.
