Cole Palmer Out for Chelsea’s Next Three Games

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has suffered a broken little toe on his left foot after stubbing it against a door at home, ruling him out of upcoming matches against Burnley, Barcelona, and Arsenal.

The 23-year-old had just returned to full training after a two-month absence with a groin injury sustained in September against Manchester United. He was expected to be available soon, but the freak incident has delayed his comeback.

Head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed the setback:
“Unfortunately he had an accident at home two days ago and hit his toe. It’s fractured. He is not available for tomorrow, for sure, Barcelona, for sure, Arsenal, for sure. We don’t know exactly how long, but this week and next week he won’t be available.”

Maresca added that Palmer was walking normally without socks or shoes on Thursday morning and was not limping heavily, but contact with the boot remains too painful.

Palmer has made only three Premier League appearances this season before the groin issue struck. Chelsea have coped well in his absence, sitting third in the table, but the team and manager clearly miss their talisman.

Get well soon, Cole.
