Belgian winger set to extend stay amid Premier League interest.

Alexis Saelemaekers

AC Milan are close to sealing a new contract for Belgian winger Alexis Saelemaekers. The 26-year-old reportedly agreed to terms last week, with the deal potentially running until 2030, extending beyond his current contract, which is set to expire in June 2027.

The club is keen to complete the agreement before Christmas, rewarding Saelemaekers for his defensive contributions, interceptions, and attacking bursts within Paulo Fonseca’s tactical system. This extension ensures Milan retain a key player as they continue to challenge domestically and in Europe.

The deal also secures squad depth amid past interest from Premier League clubs, complementing Milan’s efforts to retain other form players like Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori, keeping the team competitive for the remainder of the season.
