Club History

Nottingham Forest is one of the oldest professional football clubs in England, formed in 1865 by a group of shinty players who decided to switch to association football. They moved to The City Ground in 1898, and over the decades experienced both triumphs and challenges — winning FA Cup titles, periods in the top flight, relegations, and promotions. In the recent past, after returning to the Premier League, Forest secured a strong finish in 2024-25 which qualified them for European competition, and in 2025-26 they are balancing domestic league and cup commitments along with their return to Europe.
