DR Congo FA Slams Nigeria Over World Cup Eligibility Dispute

The Federation of Congolese Football Associations (FECOFA) has fired back at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after Nigeria submitted a petition to FIFA challenging the eligibility of six DR Congo players, including former Manchester United stars Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe.

In a strong statement on X, FECOFA called Nigeria “bad losers,” saying, “If you can’t win on the pitch, don’t try to win from the back door. The World Cup has to be played with dignity and confidence. Not with lawyers’ tricks.”

The post quickly sparked heated reactions online, with Nigerian fans questioning DR Congo’s integrity and the legitimacy of the players’ participation.
