Chukwueze Joins Super Eagles Camp As AFCON Countdown Intensifies

Samuel Chukwueze has officially joined the Super Eagles camp in Cairo as Nigeria enter the final phase of preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Fulham forward arrived shortly after Nigeria’s 2–1 friendly defeat to Egypt on Tuesday night, missing out on the fixture but boosting squad numbers ahead of the team’s final training schedule in Egypt.

Nigeria will travel to Fez on Thursday, and with Chukwueze now on ground, the Super Eagles camp has grown to 26 players.

Who’s in camp?

All three goalkeepers — Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie — are present, alongside:
Bright Osayi-Samuel, Igho Ogbu, Zaidu Sanusi, Tochukwu Nnadi, Frank Onyeka, Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi, Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu, Calvin Bassey, Wilfred Ndidi, Raphael Onyedika, Chidera Ejuke, Akor Adams, Cyriel Dessers, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ryan Alebiosu, Salim Fago Lawal, Chidozie Awaziem, Usman Muhammed, Bruno Onyemaechi and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro.

Chukwueze becomes the newest arrival.

Osimhen, Moses Simon still expected

According to the Super Eagles’ media team, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon are expected to link up with the squad shortly — completing the full roster ahead of the championship.

Nigeria will train twice on Wednesday:

Pitch session: 5:00 pm

Head coach Eric Chelle will use the final workouts in Cairo to sharpen tactics before the squad heads to Morocco.
