Pharaohs forward confident of AFCON glory in Morocco.

AFCON 2025

Egypt forward Omar Marmoush believes the Pharaohs have what it takes to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, insisting the team has the quality, squad depth, and mindset to reclaim the continental crown.

The North Africans will be aiming to secure a record-extending eighth AFCON title in Morocco.

The Pharaohs were eliminated in the group stage at the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire, but Marmoush says the team is ready to dominate again.

“We are going to win the Africa Cup of Nations, of course, and then the World Cup,” Marmoush was quoted by Foot Africa.

He added that Egypt are the best team in Africa and can make a strong impression beyond the tournament.

“With the players, the squad, and the quality we have, we don’t just want to make a name by saying: ‘We played in the World Cup.’ That’s not enough. We’re going there to get out of the group stage and show the world who we are.”
