Super Eagles prepare for Africa Cup of Nations with full squad after Osimhen and Simon arrive in Egypt.

Victor Osimhen AFCON 2025

The Super Eagles camp in Cairo, Egypt, is now complete ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following the arrival of star striker Victor Osimhen.

Confirmed by Super Eagles media officer Promise Efoghe, Osimhen joins his teammates just days before Nigeria departs for Morocco, where they will compete in Group C.

Earlier on Wednesday, winger Moses Simon also arrived from France, bolstering the squad’s attacking options.

This will mark Osimhen’s third AFCON appearance. He debuted at the 2019 edition in Egypt, missed the 2021 tournament in Cameroon due to injury, and played a key role in Nigeria’s runner-up finish in 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire.

With the squad now at full strength, head coach Eric Chelle can finalize preparations and tactics ahead of Nigeria’s opener, as the Super Eagles look to reclaim their fourth continental title.
