Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare scored his first Premier League goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The 25-year-old’s header in the 90th minute brought Wolves level after Arsenal’s opener, an unusual own goal by Sam Johnstone. Arokodare’s goal came from a Mateus Mané cross, giving Wolves fans a moment of hope.

However, the Gunners snatched victory in stoppage time when Yerson Mosquera inadvertently headed Bukayo Saka’s cross into his own net in the 94th minute.

Despite Wolves’ resilience, the team remains at the bottom of the Premier League, extending their losing streak, while Arsenal maintains its lead at the top of the table.
