Nigerian midfielder set to join Eagles for Morocco 2025.

Raphael Onyedika

Club Brugge have confirmed Raphael Onyedika will leave to join Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Onyedika is in the Super Eagles’ 54-man provisional squad, with Nigeria set to face Tanzania (Dec 23), Tunisia (Dec 27) and Uganda (Dec 30) in the group stage.

Brugge stated that the midfielder will feature in their upcoming fixtures — including the Champions League clash against Arsenal and a league match vs Dender before heading to the Eagles’ camp.

Nigeria coach Eric Chelle is expected to announce the final AFCON squad before Thursday’s CAF deadline.

Brugge’s season has been turbulent, with poor results in both the league and Champions League. Onyedika, who has one UCL goal this season, remains one of their standout performers ahead of his international duty.
