Portugal international João Félix has revealed the profound impact teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has had on him since joining Al-Nassr in the summer of 2025.

In an exclusive interview with the Saudi Pro League’s official website on January 6, 2026, the 26-year-old forward spoke glowingly about sharing the dressing room with the legendary captain.

“Of course, having Cristiano as a teammate is always good, for everything he brings to the team, all the teachings,” Félix said. “He’s a role model for almost all players, especially when it comes to work and dedication.”

Félix emphasized how Ronaldo’s presence elevates everyone: “The fact that I and our teammates have him around makes us better players too, and especially more professional, which is very important nowadays. And that we’re here with him helps us a lot.”

He pointed to the team’s physical resilience as evidence: “As you’ve seen, our team has played game after game, and continues to respond well physically.”

The former Chelsea and Atlético Madrid star was particularly inspired by Ronaldo’s longevity: “All the efforts he makes and what he does on the pitch, which he has experienced more than all of us together… And that we see him, at 40 years old, doing what he does only gives us more motivation. As I said before, he’s an example for us, and we always try to look for the positive things he does for us.”

Since moving to the Saudi Pro League, Félix has thrived alongside Ronaldo and Gabriel Jesus, contributing goals and assists as Al-Nassr chase domestic and continental success.

This heartfelt praise underscores the enduring influence of one of football’s greatest ever players on the next generation.
