Star forward misses training ahead of crucial UCL encounter.

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappé missed Real Madrid training on Tuesday, casting doubt over his availability for the Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday.

According to Fabrizio Romano, “Kylian Mbappé didn’t train with the Real Madrid squad, and he’s a doubt to face Manchester City.” The club has not clarified whether his absence is due to injury or precaution.

The French forward has been in top form, scoring 16 league goals and nine in the 2025–26 UCL campaign. His potential absence comes after Madrid suffered a 2–0 defeat to Celta Vigo at the Bernabéu, their first home loss of the season and first defeat to Celta in 19 years.

Real Madrid will desperately need Mbappé at his best to challenge Manchester City and Erling Haaland in this pivotal Champions League fixture.
