Arsenal Boss Hints at Possible Returns as Gabriel Jesus Makes Comeback, Magalhaes Still Out.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has offered key injury updates on Leandro Trossard, Viktor Gyokeres, and Kai Havertz ahead of Sunday’s London derby at Chelsea.

Trossard limped off in the first half of Arsenal’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich with a calf issue. The Belgian winger, who had recently scored against Sunderland and Tottenham, was immediately substituted for Noni Madueke.

Speaking after the Bayern match, Arteta revealed via football.london:

“With Leo there is another test today, it didn’t look much. There is a potential chance he could be available.”

On Gyokeres and Havertz, Arteta remained cautious, stating:

“Yeah, we have another day tomorrow. So let’s see how it goes.”
“Clear, not yet. But they are getting closer and closer.”

In positive news, Gabriel Jesus played his first minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Watford after recovering from knee surgery in January. Arteta said:

“Yeah it did happen, Gabi participated, Ethan as well, as he wanted some minutes. We took that opportunity.”

However, defender Gabriel Magalhaes remains sidelined with a thigh injury sustained during the international break with Brazil. Fresh scans this week aim to provide a clearer timeline for his return.

As the Gunners prepare for the high-stakes clash at Stamford Bridge, Arteta will be closely monitoring the fitness of his attacking and defensive options to ensure his squad is ready for the London showdown.
