Eric Chelle and scouting committee are reportedly considering the inclusion of 23-year-old LASK right-winger and playmaker to bolster the Super Eagles attack ahead of AFCON’26.

The former Slavia Praha winger has been in impressive form this season in the Austrian Bundesliga, scoring three goals and providing two assists in 13 league appearances. Notably, he scored in LASK’s 3-1 victory over Sturm Graz, giving his side a 2-1 lead in the 27th minute.

Usor’s resurgence marks a major improvement from last season, when he failed to score in eight league appearances. His progress comes after a long injury layoff, recovering from an ACL tear that sidelined him for over 250 days. Demonstrating commitment, he skipped his summer vacation to focus on intensive rehabilitation at LASK’s Raiffeisen Arena.

For AFCON 2025, Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside Uganda, Tunisia, and Tanzania, making Usor’s return to form a timely boost for the Super Eagles’ attacking options.
