Festive Boost for Fans in Ibadan

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have moved to reassure supporters ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 18 fixture against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

With a large festive turnout expected for this penultimate game of the first stanza, head of matchday stewards Iba Faruku emphasized enhanced security measures.

“There is adequate security for everybody ahead of the game against Niger Tornadoes,” Faruku told 3SCFansTV. “We are aware that there will be a massive fan turnout because of the festive period, so we are well prepared.”

Must-Win Mentality in Camp

Beyond safety, the match holds key sporting significance. Club chairman Taiwo Salami labeled it a must-win encounter.

“The feelings around the camp are positive as everybody is enthusiastic that we are going to do well this weekend,” Salami said. “It’s not going to be an easy game because Tornadoes are also a good side, we are going to give all we have.”

The Oluyole Warriors draw confidence from last season’s 3-1 home victory over the Ikon Allah Boys, with goals from Ayodeji Bamidele, Anthony Okachi, and Samuel Okon.

Forward Austin Onyeamechi echoed the optimism: “We are working towards our next game against Niger Tornadoes this weekend, hopefully we will get a victory.”

With robust security and high spirits, Shooting Stars aim to deliver a safe and thrilling year-end spectacle for fans before their final 2025 fixture away to Enyimba.
