De la Fuente Claims Back-to-Back IFFHS Honor

Luis de la Fuente has been crowned the IFFHS Men’s World Best National Coach 2025 for the second consecutive year, as announced on December 26, 2025.

The Spain manager topped the voting with 136 points, comfortably ahead of Roberto Martínez (Portugal) and Lionel Scaloni (Argentina, winner in 2022 and 2023).

De la Fuente’s success reflects Spain’s strong performances throughout 2025, building on the EURO triumph and maintaining an exciting, youthful style of play.

The Riojan coach, who extended his contract until EURO 2028 earlier this year, has transformed La Roja into one of the world’s most entertaining sides.

This repeat accolade cements his status among elite national team managers.
