The long-awaited heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has reportedly been agreed behind the scenes, with plans for the mega fight to be broadcast on Netflix.
Veteran boxing journalist Gareth A Davies revealed that the deal is already in place, backed by major financial stakeholders involved in Fury’s recent fights.
“The Fury-Joshua fight is signed… I’ve got that on good authority.”
Although the agreement exists, the fight is not expected immediately, with timelines pointing toward late 2026 or early 2027. Both fighters are said to be fully committed to making the bout happen.
“They both want the fight… it’s on the cards, and it’s going to happen.”
Joshua is currently preparing for a return after a difficult period, with promoter Eddie Hearn confirming he is close to re-entering full training camp.
“We are very close to returning to training camp… AJ is physically and perhaps mentally ready.”
The British-Nigerian star is expected to fight in summer 2026, potentially in a warm-up bout before facing Fury. A rematch with Dillian Whyte has been mentioned as a possible option.
Meanwhile, Fury is set to return to the ring against Arslanbek Makhmudov, before shifting focus to the historic clash.
If confirmed, Joshua vs Fury would be one of the biggest fights in boxing history, finally delivering a matchup fans have waited years to see — now with a global audience potentially tuning in via Netflix.
