Genoa CFC have reportedly revived their pursuit of Ryan Alebiosu ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Serie A side previously attempted to sign the Nigerian defender during the January transfer window, but Blackburn Rovers rejected their offer at the time.
Genoa preparing fresh bid
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercato, Genoa remain strongly interested in the right-back and are now preparing another move this summer.
The report claims Daniele De Rossi’s side are willing to table a €5 million offer to secure the defender’s signature.
Blackburn are reportedly open to selling Alebiosu following the club’s successful fight to retain their Championship status.
Alebiosu impressed in the Championship
The 24-year-old enjoyed a solid campaign with Blackburn during the 2025/26 season.
The Nigerian international registered:
- 1 goal
- 5 assists
- 41 league appearances
His attacking output and consistency at right-back have attracted growing interest from clubs across Europe.
From Arsenal to Italy?
Alebiosu began his career at Arsenal FC before later moving to Belgian side KV Kortrijk.
He joined Blackburn in 2023 and has since developed into one of the club’s key defensive players.
A move to Genoa would hand the defender his first opportunity to play in Serie A and could further boost his standing with the Nigeria national football team setup.
