
Nigeria has officially been confirmed as the host nation for the 2026 CAF Awards Ceremony and the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly, marking a major milestone for African football administration.
The announcement follows approval from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, after high-level discussions with Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football.
The events will be hosted in October 2026 and are expected to bring together top football leaders from across the continent.
High-Level Football Gathering Coming to Nigeria
The CAF Ordinary General Assembly will feature representatives from all 54 CAF member associations, along with delegates from the six zonal unions and senior football administrators across Africa.
