France legend Emmanuel Petit has delivered a brutal verdict ahead of the FA Cup final, insisting that Chelsea FC will need “a miracle” to defeat Manchester City.
Speaking in an interview with BOYLE Sports, Petit questioned Chelsea’s mentality, consistency, and ability to compete against Pep Guardiola’s ruthless side.
“Who cannot beat Chelsea?” — Petit’s brutal assessment

Petit did not hold back in his criticism of the Blues, claiming recent performances have shown a worrying lack of fight and identity.
“I would say in a single game, a final, anything can happen. City won at Chelsea recently, and we saw only one team on the pitch,” Petit said.
“The question actually is who cannot beat Chelsea?”
“It seems that every single team can beat Chelsea, actually. So I don’t see why City, the way they play, the way they control the game, their players, the atmosphere, the environment, it’s totally different to Chelsea.”
Petit praises Manchester City’s superiority
The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder praised City’s structure, quality, and winning mentality, insisting Guardiola’s side are superior “in every way.”
Petit also expressed frustration over Chelsea’s inability to respond positively during difficult moments this season.
“So many times I’ve been frustrated about them because I was expecting a reaction, a proud reaction on the pitch all together,” he added.
“Forget about what you think or what you feel. Just do what you’ve been paid for. And they failed. All of them, they failed for weeks now.”
Huge pressure ahead of Wembley showdown
The FA Cup final now presents Chelsea with a chance to silence critics and salvage their season against one of the strongest teams in Europe.
However, with Manchester City chasing another major trophy, the pressure will firmly be on the Blues to produce a massive performance at Wembley.
