Paris FC Say NO To PSG Title Celebration
Paris FC have reportedly refused a request from the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) to host the Ligue 1 trophy presentation for Paris Saint-Germain.
The plan was for the ceremony to take place at the Stade Jean-Bouin following the anticipated “Parisian Derby” between the two clubs.
However, Paris FC management has now turned down the proposal, putting the league’s celebration plans in doubt.
LFP Left Searching For A New Venue
The LFP had been considering Jean-Bouin as a neutral and convenient location for PSG’s title coronation.
But the rejection means organisers must now find an alternative venue for the trophy handover.
Reports suggest that even security concerns in Paris have complicated planning, with authorities reluctant to approve major public celebrations at some proposed sites.
PSG Already Crowned Ligue 1 Champions
Despite the off-field drama, PSG have already secured the Ligue 1 title after a 2-0 win over Lens.
The result confirmed another domestic triumph for Luis Enrique’s side, who continue to dominate French football.
Attention has now shifted to their biggest challenge of the season — the UEFA Champions League final.
Champions League Focus Now Takes Over
Paris Saint-Germain will now prepare for a blockbuster European final against Arsenal on May 30.
After another dominant domestic campaign, PSG will be aiming to complete a historic season with European glory.
For now, though, even their title celebrations have become part of the controversy surrounding the club’s season.
