Israeli Goalkeeper Arrives with €8.5m Buy Option.

Southampton have secured their first January signing with Daniel Peretz completing his medical, sealing a loan move from Bayern Munich with an €8.5m buy option.

The 25-year-old Israeli international’s loan at Hamburger SV was terminated early due to limited minutes (just cup games). Peretz, who joined Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023 (€5m), seeks regular play to boost his career and Israel national team prospects.

Southampton, mid-table in the Championship, add depth/competition behind Gavin Bazunu and Alex McCarthy under manager Tonda Eckert.
