German Striker Set for Serie A Adventure as Rossoneri Bolster Attack.

Niclas Füllkrug to AC Milan

In a major boost to their attacking options, AC Milan have completed the signing of Niclas Füllkrug from West Ham United. The deal, announced officially on January 2, 2026, sees the 32-year-old German international join the Rossoneri on a loan until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option to make the transfer permanent for a reported €5 million.

Füllkrug, who will wear the iconic number 9 shirt at San Siro, arrives in Milan following a challenging spell in the Premier League. Signed by West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in August 2024 for around £27 million, the powerful forward managed just three goals in 29 appearances for the Hammers.

The move comes as AC Milan look to reinforce their squad amid injury concerns, particularly with Santiago Giménez sidelined. Füllkrug’s experience and proven goal-scoring ability in the Bundesliga—where he shone at Werder Bremen and Dortmund—make him an ideal short-term addition for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, who are currently pushing for the Serie A title.

Both clubs confirmed the transfer, with AC Milan’s statement expressing delight at welcoming the Germany international, who has earned caps and scored at major tournaments like the 2022 World Cup.

This January window deal highlights Milan’s proactive approach in the market, providing Füllkrug with a fresh start in one of Europe’s top leagues.
