Nigerian Striker Set for €9m Move in Record-Breaking Deal for Pisa.

Rafiu Durosinmi Pisa transfer

Czech giants Viktoria Plzeň have announced that star Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi will not join the squad for their upcoming training camp in Benidorm, Spain, due to advanced negotiations for his transfer to Serie A side Pisa.

In a statement released on January 5, 2026, club chairman Adolf Šádek explained: “There is a long-term agreement with the player that in the event of an interesting offer from abroad that would satisfy him and the club’s expectations, he will not be prevented from transferring. We now have such an offer on the table and we are intensively negotiating the player’s transfer to one of the elite European competitions.”

The 23-year-old forward, who joined Plzeň from Karviná in 2023, has been in impressive form this season, scoring 13 goals in 32 competitive appearances across all competitions, including notable strikes in the UEFA Europa League.

Pisa, currently struggling near the bottom of Serie A after their promotion last season, have agreed a deal worth €9 million upfront plus €2 million in performance-related add-ons. This makes Durosinmi the most expensive signing in Pisa’s history.

Reports confirm the towering 192cm striker has already completed his medical examinations in Bologna and is expected to sign his contract imminently, providing a major boost to Pisa’s attack as they fight for survival.

Durosinmi’s physical presence, aerial ability, and clinical finishing have attracted interest from across Europe, but Pisa moved decisively to secure his services.

This transfer represents a significant step up for the Nigerian international prospect, who will now test himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
