18-year-old joins SK Brann from Right2Win FC on long-term contract until 2029.

Norwegian outfit SK Brann have officially announced the signing of Nigerian winger Chinedu Ononogbo from Right2Win Football Club, securing the youngster on a long-term deal until 2029.
The 18-year-old winger was identified by Brann’s scouting network during a local tournament in January, with the club acting swiftly to finalize the transfer after being impressed by his raw talent and potential.
Ononogbo will initially train with Brann’s youth team, where he is expected to continue his development before making the step up to the first team in the coming years.

Reacting to the move, the Nigerian teenager expressed his excitement at the opportunity to begin his European journey.
“I am incredibly happy for this opportunity, and I will do everything I can to take good care of it,” Ononogbo told the club’s official website.
“It is not an easy life in Nigeria, so this is a great opportunity for me. It’s very cold, but I’ll get used to it quickly. There are very good coaches here, and both the coaches and the players have welcomed me very well.”
Brann’s sporting director, Per-Ove Ludvigsen, also spoke positively about the signing, highlighting the club’s growing recruitment strategy beyond Europe.
“In recent years, we have worked to expand the areas from which we recruit players,” Ludvigsen said.
“We now have a better system for recruiting players from other continents and cultures, because it is important that players also find their place outside the football field. It will be exciting to see Chinedu’s development in the years to come.”
The move marks another step in the increasing presence of young Nigerian talents in European football, with Ononogbo now set to continue his growth in Norway’s top-flight environment.
