Karim Adeyemi Prioritises Arsenal Move, Rejects Manchester United

Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi has informed his entourage that Arsenal is his preferred destination and has no interest in joining Manchester United, despite the Red Devils’ concrete interest.

The 23-year-old German international, whose contract runs until 2027, has stalled on extension talks with Dortmund and is widely expected to leave next summer. Arsenal have emerged as clear frontrunners, with Adeyemi attracted by Mikel Arteta’s project, regular Champions League football, and the chance to compete for the Premier League title.

Adeyemi has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 7 assists in just 15 appearances across all competitions, including a Champions League hat-trick against Celtic.

Dortmund value him at around £75 million (€80 million) and are reluctant to sell in January, making a summer 2026 transfer the most likely scenario.

Manchester United had held talks with Adeyemi’s representatives but have now been informed he is not interested in a move to Old Trafford. Arsenal, currently top of the Premier League, see him as a long-term option and direct competitor for Bukayo Saka on the right wing.

The player’s decision hands Arsenal a major boost in their pursuit of one of Europe’s most exciting young attackers.
