Iwobi, Fulham’s midfield engineer, once again dominated the action, making his 24th appearance of the season. The Nigerian international has contributed four goals and three assists in the league so far, consistently driving Fulham’s attacking play.
Calvin Bassey, making his 22nd league appearance, played the full 90 minutes and added one goal to his tally this season, helping Fulham maintain defensive solidity while linking up effectively with his teammates.
Samuel Chukwueze entered as a second-half substitute in the 61st minute for Oscar Bobb. The winger had two clear chances to score, though his efforts went just wide.
“Iwobi was at the heart of everything today, as usual. Bassey’s presence at the back and Chukwueze’s energy off the bench made a real difference,” a Fulham insider said.
The scoring opened with Zian Flemming giving Burnley the lead, only for Josh King to equalize with his first Premier League goal. Wilson then put the hosts ahead, and Raul Jimenez sealed the victory from the penalty spot in stoppage time after Josh Laurent was sent off.
The win keeps Fulham in contention for a mid-table climb and highlights the impact of Nigerian internationals in the Premier League this season.
