
Shamrock Rovers youngster Victor Ozhianvuna has been named the club’s Player of the Month for April 2026 after delivering a string of impressive performances.
The Republic of Ireland U18 international, who is of Nigerian descent, earned the award for the first time following consistent standout displays in recent weeks.
Despite being just 17 years old, Ozhianvuna has already made significant strides in his career. He has agreed a deal to join Premier League giants Arsenal, with the transfer set to be completed in January 2027 when he turns 18.
Impressive Senior Career So Far
The attacking midfielder has already racked up 31 first-team appearances for Shamrock Rovers. He scored his first senior goal in a cup clash against Wexford FC in July 2025.
In April 2026, Ozhianvuna started four of the five League of Ireland Premier Division games played by Rovers, helping the team secure three victories.
His rapid rise was evident earlier when, in February 2025, he became the second-youngest player in UEFA Conference League history after coming on as a substitute against Molde in the intermediate stage.
