
Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen has identified Jarrod Bowen as the ideal player to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool FC.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Owen praised the West Ham United forward for his finishing ability, versatility, and work rate, describing him as a perfect fit for Arne Slot’s tactical system.
“Jarrod Bowen’s a legend of a player, West Ham adore the man, and rightly so. But if West Ham went down, he would fit for me, he’s absolutely brilliant,” Owen said.
The former Liverpool striker also revealed he was highly impressed by Bowen’s technical ability during a television session they worked on together.
“Honestly, left foot, right foot, bang, bang, bang, a real top finisher.”
Owen further highlighted Bowen’s ability to operate across the frontline, his pace, and his extensive Premier League experience as major strengths.
“If they do go down, he would be my idea of someone to replace Salah.”
With uncertainty continuing around Salah’s long-term future at Liverpool, speculation over potential replacements is expected to intensify in the coming months.
