Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen once again proved his superstar status after inspiring Galatasaray to a dramatic 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor, sealing the Turkish Super Lig title in style on Saturday.
The 27-year-old played a decisive role in a tense encounter as Galatasaray bounced back from last week’s shock defeat to secure their fourth consecutive league crown and a record-extending 26th Turkish championship.
Galatasaray were forced to fight from behind after Soner Dikmen’s first-half stoppage-time opener, before Mario Lemina levelled early in the second half. But the drama intensified when Dikmen struck again with a stunning free-kick to restore Antalyaspor’s lead.
That is when Osimhen took over.
Osimhen’s Brace Seals Historic Title Triumph
The Nigerian striker first converted a penalty he won himself after being fouled in the box, bringing Galatasaray level and shifting momentum.
Then came the decisive moment.
“Osimhen completed the comeback in the 88th minute, firing Galatasaray ahead for the first time.”
His late winner sent the home crowd into wild celebrations as Galatasaray moved within touching distance of the title before Kaan Ayhan sealed the 4-2 result.
“This Is Why We Are Galatasaray” – Osimhen Speaks

After the final whistle, Osimhen praised both his team and their opponents in an emotional post-match reaction.
“This is the kind of game that shows why we are Galatasaray. We always come back from every difficulty.”
He also acknowledged the challenge posed by Antalyaspor.
“They gave us a great game… but just as I said earlier, this is the reason we are Galatasaray.”
The striker also confirmed the team’s mindset heading into the celebrations:
“We have won the league, and now we have to celebrate.”
Osimhen’s Future Still Uncertain Amid Transfer Interest
Osimhen’s brace takes him to 22 goals in all competitions this season and an incredible 59 goals in two seasons for Galatasaray.
However, his future remains uncertain as top European clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United continue to monitor his situation.
Despite speculation, Galatasaray are reportedly unwilling to let their star striker leave easily, with his bond to the fans growing stronger after another iconic performance.
Osimhen will now miss the final league game against Kasimpasa due to suspension, but the season is already sealed in unforgettable fashion thanks to his heroics.
