Turkish giants open talks with Atalanta as Romano confirms negotiations.

Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce are intensifying efforts to sign Nigeria international Ademola Lookman from Atalanta before the close of the current transfer window, according to Sportblits.com.
Fenerbahce’s Director of Sport, Devin Ozek, is reportedly in Italy as negotiations between both clubs gather pace. The Istanbul-based side are eager to reach an agreement swiftly and are also preparing to open talks with the player over personal terms.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development, revealing that direct discussions are underway.
“Direct club to club talks between Fenerbahçe and Atalanta set to take place in Italy for Ademola Lookman,” Romano wrote on X.
“Talks to follow also on player side over personal terms; Fenerbahçe are trying.”
Atalanta Open to Sale
Atalanta are believed to be open to selling Lookman, especially after completing the signing of Giacomo Raspadori from Atletico Madrid, which has strengthened their attacking options.
Fenerbahce are exploring a deal structure that would see Lookman join on loan, with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. The total package could be worth around €40 million, making it one of the biggest moves involving a Nigerian player this window.
Contract Situation and Previous Interest
The 27-year-old winger’s contract runs until June 2027, giving Atalanta leverage in negotiations. Last summer, Lookman pushed strongly for a move to Inter Milan, but the Nerazzurri failed to reach an agreement with Atalanta.
With time running out in the transfer window, Fenerbahce’s push could prove decisive, as they look to bolster their squad for both domestic and European ambitions.
