Manchester City boss refuses to reveal key gap in squad despite “decent” season assessment.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has sparked intrigue after refusing to disclose what he believes is missing from his squad this season.
Speaking after a mixed campaign, the Spaniard admitted he knows exactly what the team lacks but chose to keep it private:
“I know, I know it… I will NOT tell you.”
“But I know. The players know it.”
Despite City’s performances, Guardiola acknowledged that success is often judged by trophies:
“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but this season was more than decent. Of course if you define the season for titles, obviously we need it.”
He also pointed to last season’s achievements as context:
“Last season we won the Community Shield, in the final of the FA Cup.”
Guardiola’s comments have fuelled speculation over whether Manchester City may look to strengthen key areas in the next transfer window, as they aim to maintain their dominance both domestically and in Europe.
