The 21-year-old Ivorian has emerged as one of Europe’s most promising young defenders, impressing with his composure, athleticism, and ball-playing ability in Portugal.
Liverpool have also formally requested a meeting with the player’s representatives, ensuring the race for his signature remains wide open.
Manchester United, under Ruben Amorim – who coached Diomande at Sporting – are seen as frontrunners, with the Portuguese connection potentially decisive.
