Sir Alex Ferguson has been taken to hospital after falling unwell at Old Trafford shortly before Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Liverpool FC.
According to reports, the 84-year-old was moved to hospital as a precautionary measure, with sources stressing that it was not treated as an emergency situation.
Ferguson, who managed Manchester United for 27 years in one of football’s most successful managerial reigns, regularly attends matches from the club’s directors’ box.
