Crystal Palace FC have secured a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League final after defeating FC Shakhtar Donetsk 2–1 in the second leg of their semi-final, completing a convincing 5–2 aggregate win.
The breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Daniel Muñoz delivered a dangerous cross that was deflected into his own net by Pedro Henrique after pressure from Adam Wharton.
Shakhtar responded quickly through Eguinaldo, who produced a brilliant finish into the top corner to level the match and briefly raise hopes of a comeback.
However, Palace regained control early in the second half when Ismaïla Sarr finished off a well-worked move, turning Tyrick Mitchell’s cross in off the post to restore their advantage.
Despite late pressure and earlier chances—including a near acrobatic strike from Jean-Philippe Mateta—Palace held firm to secure a historic qualification.
The Premier League side will now face Rayo Vallecano in the final on May 27, 2026, at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig.
