Former Super Eagles captain signs long-term deal after leaving Saudi club Al Kholood.

Former Nigeria international William Troost-Ekong has completed a permanent move to Qatar Stars League side Al Ahli SC, according to reports from Sportblits.com.
Al Ahli secured the services of the experienced centre-back from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Kholood, where Troost-Ekong spent the previous season.
The Qatari club confirmed that the defender has signed a contract running until June 2028, underlining their long-term confidence in his experience and leadership at the back.
Al Ahli officially announced Troost-Ekong’s arrival via a short message on their Instagram page, welcoming the defender to the club.
“He’s here, he’s ready. Welcome to the club William. Let’s make history together,” the statement read.
During his time at Al Kholood, Troost-Ekong made 49 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals from defence.
Al Ahli currently sit ninth in the Qatar Stars League standings with 15 points, four points clear of the relegation zone. Younes Ali’s side will next face Qatar SC on Saturday, January 31, as they look to climb further up the table.
