Red Devils eye return of Nigerian midfielder to strengthen Champions League push.

Manchester United have revived their interest in Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi, who now captains Besiktas in Turkey, according to Sportblits.com.
The Red Devils are reportedly seeking a short-term midfield solution to strengthen their squad and bolster their Champions League qualification hopes.
“The Red Devils are considering signing a midfielder on loan to bolster their hopes of Champions League qualification. United have discussed Wilfred Ndidi, who is currently at Besiktas,” talkSPORT reported.
Ndidi, who previously impressed during his six-year spell at Leicester City, was linked with a move to United in summer 2025, when a relegation clause made him available for £9.5m. However, no deal materialized at the time.
Now, United are reconsidering Ndidi due to his leadership, positional discipline, and defensive intelligence—qualities that made him one of the Premier League’s most reliable ball-winning midfielders.
Since joining Besiktas, Ndidi has become a key figure and captain, anchoring the team’s midfield and demonstrating the experience that could benefit a United squad often reliant on younger players.
Internal discussions at Old Trafford have reportedly also included other midfield options, such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but Ndidi’s Premier League familiarity and ability to stabilize the midfield make him a preferred choice.
With his personal desire to return to England for both football and family reasons, a move back to the Premier League could be on the cards for the Super Eagles captain.
