Giallorossi close in on €25m transfer as key conditions edge closer.

AS Roma are edging closer to making Donyell Malen’s move permanent ahead of the summer window, following a productive loan spell. The Serie A side have already paid a €2 million loan fee, with the agreement containing an obligation to buy that could soon be activated.
Under the terms of the deal with Aston Villa, Roma will be required to pay an additional €25 million if certain conditions are met. These include qualification for either the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League, or if Malen features in at least 50% of Roma’s available matches between now and June.

The Dutch attacker has made a strong impression since arriving in the Italian capital, with his performances reinforcing Roma’s confidence in committing to the transfer. Club insiders believe the conditions are “well within reach”, especially as Roma continue their push for European qualification.
For Aston Villa, the deal also includes a 10% sell-on clause, ensuring future financial benefit should Malen be sold on. With momentum building and decisive months ahead, Roma look increasingly likely to secure Malen’s long-term future as part of their project.
