Highly rated Nigerian youngster Favor James-Omobude has secured a move to Werder Bremen from MSV Duisburg ahead of the 2026–2027 season.
The deal has been confirmed by his representatives, AM Sports Management, with only the club’s official announcement still pending.
Born in 2010, the talented centre-forward is set to officially join Werder Bremen this summer when the transfer window reopens. He will begin his journey with the club’s U17 side, competing in the U17 DFB-Nachwuchsliga – Hauptrunde Liga A.
The signing ceremony was a special moment for the young striker, who was accompanied by his family—highlighting a major milestone in his promising career.
Omobude is widely regarded as a future attacking star, with his move seen as a long-term investment by the German club. Interestingly, despite his Nigerian roots, he is also eligible to represent Spain at international level, adding another layer to his developing profile.
During his final spell with MSV Duisburg, he featured in seven matches in the U17 DFB Youth League – Main Round League B, where he recorded two assists against Hennef 05 and Arminia Bielefeld.
At senior level, Werder Bremen already have strong Nigerian connections within their squad, including Victor Boniface, Felix Agu, Isaac Schmidt, and Wesley Adeh.
A rising star, a big move, and a bright future ahead — all eyes will be on Favor James-Omobude.
