Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has cast doubt on the Gunners’ chances ahead of a potential Champions League final clash against Paris Saint-Germain, insisting the French giants carry far more attacking firepower.
Speaking in an interview with BOYLE Sports, Petit admitted that while Arsenal FC remain tactically solid under Mikel Arteta, they may struggle to match PSG’s individual brilliance.
“PSG are very explosive when you look at the talent they have on the pitch. I don’t think Arsenal can compete with the talent they have.”
The former midfielder also pointed to PSG’s attacking identity as a major advantage heading into the final:
“They have a DNA of exciting football and scoring goals.”

However, Petit was quick to stress that Arsenal should not be completely ruled out, praising their defensive structure as one of the best in Europe.
“No one is better than Arsenal at defending, that makes them a contender for the final.”
He added that the tactical battle could be decisive, especially under Arteta’s disciplined system:
“Tactically they can do it, but Arsenal will be the underdogs.”
As the showdown with Paris Saint-Germain looms, Petit expects a clash of styles — PSG’s attacking flair against Arsenal’s organisation — with European glory on the line.
