
Nathan Tella Shines With Goal And Assist As Leverkusen Thrash RB Leipzig delivered a brilliant performance, scoring his first Bundesliga goal and providing an assist as Bayer Leverkusen defeated RB Leipzig 4–1 on Saturday.
The Nigerian international, making his 17th league appearance, made an early impact by setting up Patrik Schick for the opening goal in the 25th minute. Tella then capped off his impressive display by scoring just before halftime, finding the net in the 45th minute to register his first Bundesliga goal.
After a standout showing, Tella was substituted in the 77th minute for Ernest Poku, receiving deserved recognition for his contribution.
Schick continued his fine form by completing a hat-trick, adding goals in the 76th and 89th minutes. In between, Christoph Baumgartner pulled one back for Leipzig in the 80th minute, but it proved only a consolation.
The emphatic win boosts Leverkusen’s push for European football, moving them to 4th place with 58 points, while RB Leipzig remain 3rd on 62 points.
