The 17-year-old left-back joins the Blues after impressing with Sheffield Wednesday.

Chelsea have officially signed Yisa Alao from Sheffield Wednesday, securing the talented 17-year-old left-back on a two-year deal until 2028.
The Nigerian-born defender had attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, but it is the Blues who won the race for the promising youngster. Alao made five first-team appearances for Wednesday this season, including his senior debut against Bolton in the Carabao Cup at just 16 years old.

Chelsea’s official statement read:
“Chelsea is pleased to announce the signing of Yisa Alao, with the left-back agreeing a contract with the Blues until 2028. Welcome to Chelsea, Yisa!”
Alao expressed gratitude to Sheffield Wednesday fans on Instagram:

The move marks a major step in Alao’s budding career as he looks to develop in one of England’s top clubs.
