Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) Save of the Season award after producing a sensational moment of goalkeeping brilliance for Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Nigerian shot-stopper earned the nomination thanks to her standout performance in Brighton’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool in November, where she pulled off a stunning reflex save to tip Fuka Nagano’s long-range strike onto the crossbar.
That spectacular stop didn’t just save a goal—it also earned her the WSL Save of the Month (November 2025), underlining just how decisive her impact has been this season.
Since joining Brighton on a free transfer from Paris FC, Nnadozie has quickly established herself as one of the club’s most reliable performers, delivering consistent top-level displays in goal.
She now joins an elite shortlist of goalkeepers competing for the award, including Ayaka Yamashita (Manchester City), Janina Leitzig (Leicester City), Daphne van Domselaar (Arsenal), Anneke Borbe (Arsenal), and Elene Lete (London City Lionesses).
With the season nearing its conclusion, the 25-year-old will be hoping her remarkable form is rewarded with one of the WSL’s most prestigious individual honours.
