El-Kanemi Warriors midfielder Daddy Abdulrahman has declared his ambition to claim the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Golden Boot this season.
The dynamic midfielder has already enjoyed a breakout campaign, scoring 10 goals in 33 league appearances for Kabiru Dogo’s side. While he sits just behind the current leader, his hunger for more goals remains unmatched as the season enters its decisive phase.
Ikorodu City forward Joseph Arumala currently tops the scoring chart with 12 goals. However, Abdulrahman is unfazed by the narrow margin and is fully focused on overtaking the frontrunners.
“I feel very excited to be among the top scorers because this is the first season I have scored this many goals in the league,” Abdulrahman told NPFL.com.ng.
The former Shooting Stars player expressed strong confidence in his ability to add significantly to his tally before the campaign concludes.
“Yes, my target is to score more goals. You know the gap between me and the top scorers is two goals. I will try my best to improve my goals. I believe I can score two, three or five more goals before the end of the season. Anyone God allows me get, I will accept it.”
Abdulrahman’s determination highlights his impressive rise in the NPFL. Known primarily as a midfielder, his goal-scoring form this season has turned heads and positioned him as one of the league’s standout performers.
As the NPFL heads into its final fixtures, all eyes will be on the El-Kanemi Warriors talisman. Can Daddy Abdulrahman close the gap and etch his name into the record books as the league’s top scorer?
